Technologic Nyan Cat [01m01s]

Ya estaba tardando en poner a Nyan Cat por aquí. Los que tengan ganas pueden revisitar el original [03m37s] o la versión completa de Technologic [04m51s].

Anatomy of a Mashup, de Cameron Adams, es un análisis audiovisual de una remezcla de seis minutos de temas de Daft Punk que él mismo hizo que mencionaban hace unos días en DailyJS. En la entrada de su blog al respecto, Anatomy of a Mashup: Definitive Daft Punk visualised, el señor Adams dice:

[…] By dividing up the sound data for each song and computing its appearance in realtime, the resulting visualisation gives you an understanding of the unique anatomy of this particular mashup.

The entire piece is composed from the latest HTML5 and CSS3 technology (canvas, audio, transforms & transitions) so you’ll need a newer browser to view it in. I recommend Chrome because it pulls off the best performance with my mangled code. All of the waveform and spectrum visualisation is performed in realtime, so your browser is rendering a music video on the fly!

Hopefully it gives you a new insight into the artform of the mashup, otherwise you can just stare at the pretty shapes.

El código fuente de la parte principal parece bastante legible, así que le echaré un vistazo en cuanto tenga un hueco.

Y con ese ánimo por ver películas me permito recomendar Interstella 5555, la película del 2003 de animación con banda sonora de Daft Punk, que puede verse en YouTube [65m12s].

Interstella 5555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem (インターステラ5555, Intāsutera Fō Faibu) is a feature-length Japanese animated musical film […] The film is the visual realization of Discovery, an album by Daft Punk. Each track from the album has been animated as an episode in the story of the abduction and rescue of an interstellar pop band. The film was produced by Daft Punk, Cédric Hervet and Emmanuel de Buretel along with Toei Animation, under the supervision of Leiji Matsumoto. The film has no dialogue and minimal sound effects.

La puse por aquí hace años pero merece la pena repetir. Los que hagan puente verán una película entretenida y los que no al menos podremos disfrutar escuchando las canciones del Discovery.

Es altamente recomendable pinchar en la imagen para ver mejor este retrato de Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo. Los que quieran apreciar aún mejor los detalles de la obra pueden seguir el enlace anterior, donde hay indicaciones para descargarse un CMYK TIFF @ 300DPI 11″x14″ (unos 20Mb comprimido en ZIP).

También sugiero ojear los otros trabajos de Jonas Fleuraime (el autor) en deviantART. Se ve que ya había trabajado este estilo de composición con anterioridad, aunque para mi gusto este es el mejor trabajo de este tipo que tiene hasta la fecha.
